Aggie Creek Fire Spike Camp Hit by Tree 2025

The Division Alpha Spike Camp had been in operation on the Aggie Creek Fire since July 6. On July 20, a Wildland Fire Module assigned to the fire started camping at the Div A Spike. A snag hung up in a green tree was identified in previous days, but not immediately mitigated or cordoned off. Early int he morning on July 25, the top of the green tree and the large snag fell into the camping area, with a 2-inch diameter, 4-foot long piece striking a crewmember's foot through their tent. They received only a slight bruise and refused further treatment.
