  • Description:

    On June 19, 2013 on the Disappointment Fire in northwest Colorado during post initial attack fire patrol, as the ATV operator ascends a 25% slope—in the black interior of the fire—one front tire hits a burned sage stump. The ATV’s left front end pops up—causing the ATV to flip over backward. The operator is able to leap out of the way of the falling ATV—avoiding personal injury.
