Description:
A member of the Okeene Volunteer Fire Department sustained burns when the engine he was operating shut down, forcing him and another member of the fire department to escape on foot when gusting winds increased fire behavior. The firefighter was treated at a local hospital for 2nd and 3rd degree burns and was later transferred to Baptist Medical center in Oklahoma City.
