Description:
A firefighter lost consciousness upon return from project work to the district office on the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest in Wisconsin. Forest Service EMT and fire crew member called local ambulance. Initial evaluation didn’t reveal any obvious diagnosis. The firefighter was eventually taken to a local hospital and underwent testing which indicated cardiac concerns. Firefighter was held at the hospital overnight for observations. Firefighter was released back to regular work and has a heart monitor to wear for several days.
