Cranston Engine Accident 2026

On June 5, 2026, at approximately 1202 hours, a CAL FIRE Type 3 Fire Engine responded to a vegetation fire on the San Bernardino National Forest. While en route, the engine was involved in a traffic collision with a civilian vehicle in the area of 
Domenigoni Parkway and State Street in the City of Hemet, California. Following the collision three firefighters and two civilians were transported to Inland Valley Medical Center for evaluation and treatment. Tragically, one civilian was pronounced dead at scene, and a second was later pronounced dead at Inland Valley Medical Center.
