    On July 20th, 2015, at approximately 2100 hours a fire fighter sustained a broken lower leg on the Gregg Creek Fire. EMT's on scene assessed the patient and the IC of the fire requested medivac through Eugene Interagency Dispatch (EICC). An additional 20-person hand crew, paramedics and overhead were dispatch to the incident while EICC pursued nighttime aerial extraction options. At 0303 on July 21 aerial extraction was attempted by the US Coast Guard without success. Paramedics were able to stabilize patient and a short haul mission was ordered for first light. At 0830 short-haul operations were completed and patient was transported to hospital and treated for a broken fibula.
