  • Description:

    Three hotshot crews were assigned to secure a portion of the edge of the Hermits Peak/Calf Canyon Fire in New Mexico. Crews put in line and used a helicopter for water drops. Three members of one of the crews sustained injuries after being struck by a water drop. One suffered "red" injuries, two were classified as "green". Patients were transported to a higher level of care via UTV, ambulance, and helicopter.
