Description:
The Juniper Swamp Fire on the Apalachicola National Forest was a Type 3 incident that was managed by local and visiting fire managers and firefighting resources. During this fire, a firefighter was struck on top of his hard hat while monitoring a fireline to ensure that it held. This incident had a positive outcome in that no diagnosable, permanent injury occurred.
