Description:
On September 13, 2019, a hotshot crew on the Lime Fire, Klamath National Forest, California, was constructing a helicopter by felling trees on a ridgeline. A crewmember was struck by a falling juniper tree, sustaining multiple upper body injuries. The injured firefighter was treated by fellow crewmembers while a medevac was ordered and coordinated by crew overhead and the incident management team. The injured firefighter was hoisted by helicopter and flown to the hospital.
