    On September 18, 2025, at 9:15 p.m., Lieutenant Larry Mustion Jr. responded with the Luxora Volunteer Fire Department to an outdoor fire that was spreading toward a dry wooded area. After extinguishing the fire, firefighters packed up the hoses and returned to the station. The following day at 12:12 p.m., Lieutenant Mustion passed away after suffering a cardiovascular event.
