Indiana Dunes National Park, Porter Indiana
On March 18, 2025, a burn injury to a firefighter occurred along with UTV damage while trying to suppress a spot fire on the West Beach Rx Unit. Medical treatment was conducted on scene. Due to location of burns on the body, the firefighter was transported by ambulance to a burn center. The firefighter was treated and released that evening.
