    At 1757 on July 22, 1968, a Consolidated PB4Y air tanker crashed into a mountainside while enroute to a fire from McGrath, Alaska. Very few details are available about this accident. All four occupants of the aircraft were killed in the accident, though their names are not readily available. The brief NTSB report notes that the pilot misjudged altitude and terrain clearance, and that passengers did not have seatbelts.
