    On March 24, 2002, a wildland fire was reported on private land in northeastern Tennessee. Two federal firefighters (one U.S. Forest Service employee and one U.S. Department of Interior, Fish and Wildlife Service employee, were assigned to initial attack the Back Forty Fire. The two firefighters were dispatched to the scene and began flagging a dozer line. Shortly after arrival at the incident, at approximately 1330 hours, the employees were entrapped and deployed their fire shelters. The fire burned over them. There were no injuries.
