Description:
Duane Poore, a 17-year-old member of the Del Rosa Hotshots, was entrapped and perished while the crew was assigned to the Barrett Dam Fire on the Cleveland National Forest in Southern California. Poore was one of 13 Del Rosa Hotshots along with fire overhead and an engine that were sent from the San Bernardino National Forest to fight this fire on their nearby Forest. He was last seen Friday, July 10. A search found him two days later. It appears that Poore had been entrapped and tried to use a large rock as a place of refuge.
