Description:
On May 10, 2019, a Range Specialist from the Lincoln Ranger District on the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest volunteered to assist with the Beaver Soup Prescribed Fire on the Helena Ranger District. The next day, the Range Specialist was involved in an accident that destroyed a U.S. Forest Service pickup truck while driving to the prescribed fire on the neighboring district approximately 57 miles away for an 0800 briefing. No major injuries occurred.
