    On Saturday, August 11, 1973 at approximately 1635 hours, while engaged in fire control activity on the Bell Valley Fire, California Department of Forestry Firefighter Steve Hark Arrollado received third degree burns over approximately 40 percent of his body and second degree burns over 20 percent of his body. Thirteen days later, as a result of these burn injuries, Firefighter Arrollado died.
