    On July 25, a medical incident occurred involving a patient experiencing shortness of breath and chest tightness near the remote Fishhook Trail while working on the Bench Lake Fire, Sawtooth National Forest, Idaho. The emergency response involved a coordinated effort between a Type 1 hotshot crew EMT, firefighters on-the-ground, and air ambulances. The use of a wheeled litter for patient extraction was critical in ensuring timely and efficient transport to definitive care.
