Description:
Robert Harkleroad, a heavy equipment operator for the Ukiah Pine Lumber Company, was killed when his bulldozer rolled over while he was assigned to the Boardman Ridge Fire, Mendocino National Forest, California. Harkleroad had responded to a call for all available workers in the area to assist in suppressing fires on the forest. The Boardman Ridge Fire burned in the area of Hull Mountain.
