Boise NF Heart Attack/Stroke Scare 2019

  • Description:

    A crewmember on a hand crew began to feel numb while traveling to a project work site on the Boise National Forest. Other crewmembers assisted and drove the patient to a nearby fire station where there was an ambulance and ALS services. The Patient (himself an EMT) self-diagnosed as having either a stroke or a heart attack. Patient was driven via ambulance to a hospital in Boise and admitted. Testing was inconclusive and the patient was released later that afternoon with follow-up instructions for future evaluations.
