  • Description:

    On September 8th, 2012 a human-caused fire was ignited about 5 miles south of Jackson, Wyoming. Brush Engine 18, a county municipal engine staffed with three crewmembers, was among the first resources on scene, and immediately began battling the blaze and protecting structures. After working for hours on the fire, Brush 18 was stopped, refilling its pump with fuel. Fire was then noticed near the engine and the crew was unable to start the pump again. The crew retreated into the black and then engine caught fire. There were no injuries.
