Description:
On Aug. 9, 2018, at 12:19 a.m., Heavy Equipment Mechanic Andrew Brake was driving northbound on Highway 99 when his CAL FIRE support vehicle left the road, hit a tree and burst into flames--fatally injuring him. Andrew was the only person in the vehicle. The collision happened near Los Molinos in Tehama County. He was assigned to the Carr Fire, burning in Shasta and Trinity counties.
