    A handcrew member assigned to the Cerro Pelado Fire, Santa Fe National Forest, New Mexico, was struck by a small tree/limb and sustained swelling and bruising to the lower back. The patient was transported to a medical care facility via incident ambulance and is stable. A short rehabilitation time is expected before a return to full duty.
