Description:
An IHC Crewmember working on the Chandalar River Fire #349 in Alaska’s Upper Yukon Zone was struck by a fire-weakened tree, approximately 20-feet tall with a 4-inch DBH. The firefighter was struck on the top left side of hardhat and left shoulder. The firefighter was driven to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital for evaluation and was released after evaluation and instructed to be cleared by a concussion specialist before returning to work.
