Description:
While engaged in direct attack of the Chimney Fire, Coronado National Forest, a crewmember of a hand crew displayed symptoms consistent with HRI. The injured crewmember was placed in the shade, and given fluids that wouldn’t stay down. Crewmember was flown off the fire on an agency-contracted helicopter, transferred to an ambulance and taken to Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. The crewmember was admitted for an overnight stay in the hospital.
