Cornet Fireline Explosion 2015

Fire crews are notified that one of the homes in the path of this fire has an outside storage shed that contains blasting caps and dynamite. The area was cordoned off and the blasting caps were removed in advance of the fire reaching the area. That night, due to gravity hazards (trees and rocks), this portion of the fire was not staffed overnight. Early in the morning an additional structure, also containing explosives which was not identified, exploded.
