    On September 28, 1984, T100, a Grumman S-2A Tracker registered N436DF crashed just after releasing a load of retardant on the Corral Fire, Monterey County. The Corral Fire started by arson in the protection area of the California Department of Forestry (CDF, now CAL FIRE). One source indicates the accident was on Mount Toro, a remote hill 10 miles southwest of Chualar. Pilot Edward "Ed" Real was killed in the accident.
