Description:
An El Cariso Interagency Hotshot Crew member began suffering chest pains. U.S. Forest Service EMTs responded with oxygen and called for a medevac. The Firefighter was medevac'd via agency helicopter (one skid helo extraction on 100% slope) and flown to the incident helibase where the Firefighter was then transferred to an air ambulance and flown to a hospital in Elko. After an evaluation, the Firefighter was released with instructions to follow-up with a cardiologist at the home unit.
