Description:
Sawtooth National Forest: A U.S. Forest Service Smoke Jumper broke his acromion bone (a bony process on the scapula) and dislocated his shoulder during a landing. The jumper was assessed by Forest Service EMTs and then flown by an agency helicopter to a hospital in Hailey, Idaho. He was released to three weeks of light duty.
