    This incident occurred on the Creek Fire on the Sierra National Forest. A U.S. Forest Service firefighter was operating a chainsaw when they were struck on the head and shoulder by an adjacent snag that was 20-feet-tall and from 6 to 8-inches in diameter. The patient, who was ambulatory and able to walk off the fireline, was transported to the Incident Command Post. The patient was then transported via ground ambulance to a hospital and was subsequently treated and released to full duty.
