Description:
On July 1, 2017 on the Plumas National Forest in California an Assistant Fire Engine Operator (AFEO) received burns from extremely hot water when a 1½-inch hose failed near the pump panel on a Type 3 fire engine. The AFEO was struck with extremely hot water at 250+ psi, scalding his lower torso, groin, and upper legs.
