    James Spencer Jr. was flown to the hospital in Pomeroy, Washington for treatment of extensive 3rd degree burns. Spencer was assigned to the Crooked Creek Fire on the Umatilla National Forest, and was burned at approximately 1100 on July 24. He passed away that night at 2215. The circumstances under which he received the burns are not available.
