    At approximately 1645 hours on Sept. 29, 2015, while performing direct line construction on the Crooked Creek Fire, a Swamper’s hand was struck by a running chainsaw. The injury resulted in two lacerated fingertips and minor abrasions on the Swamper’s left hand. Following this incident, the injured firefighter received medical treatment by onsite EMTs and was transported by the Squad Boss to St. John’s Medical Center in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The individual was released from the hospital the following morning.
