  • Description:

    A firefighter sustained a foot injury from a falling rock while cutting hand line. Another crewmember was standing on a rock uphill, which broke off and fell approximately 3 feet and struck the patient in the shin and knee, then landed on the foot. FS EMTs on scene did an initial assessment, and the patient was transported via incident ambulance then 911 ambulance to a local hospital. Patient diagnosed with a fractured foot (metatarsals) and is currently recovering at home.
