Dillon County Fire Dept Vehicle Accident Fatality 1996

On June 24th, Firefighter Ronald Lupo was responding to a field fire at approximately 7:10 pm. While enroute, his vehicle was struck on the right front side by an oncoming van. He was rushed to the hospital and died later that night from internal injuries.
