    The Dixie Fire started on July 13, 2021 on the Plumas National Forest. On July 29, Strike Team 49C was assigned to their second operational shift to mop-up on Division November on the Dixie Fire’s East Zone. Multiple members of Strike Team 49C had to drop packs and tools and run with fire shelters in hand to escape increased fire behavior due to a passing front.
