Description:
On April 26, 1996, 48 firefighters deployed their fire shelters on the Dome Fire, Santa Fe National Forest. One of the firefighters suffered second-degree burns on the back of both of his hands, another reported he also suffered burns during his deployment. None of the other 46 firefighters fi reported any injuries. A model 20 engine from the Jemez Ranger District was destroyed by the fire.
