    Multiple groups of recreationists and hunters had to be evacuated from the Double Creek and Sturgil Fires (Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, Oregon) when fire behavior and fire size significantly increased. One person was flown out, one party was guided out a trail, one party conducted a burnout operation based on instruction by IMT members, and one party hiked to their rafts and rafted out of the fire area.
