    Oza "Ozie" Moody and George Dyer were riding in the back of a vehicle en route to a fire near Double Springs, Arkansas. As they approached the fire area, a tree fell across the car, injuring both men critically. They were taken to Haleyville, where Moody succumbed to his injuries. It is not clear if the tree felling operation was associated with the fire or was an unrelated logging operation.
