  • Description:

    Firefighters were conducting interior firing operations from a moving UTV on the Dudda Shop Prescribed Fire. The UTV operator executed a sudden halt to avoid a ditch. The UTV stalled and would not immediately start back up. Fire quickly impacted the UTV and both firefighters abandoned the UTV. An attempt was made to extinguish the fire using a fire extinguisher but the extinguisher was inoperable. One of the firefighters suffered minor burns to his nose, cheek, and legs. The UTV was destroyed by fire.
