E 73 Damage 2000

During initial attack operations on the Clover Fire, located on the Long Valley portion of the Blue Ridge/Long Valley Ranger District of the Coconino National Forest, Engine 73 (E-73) became cut-off from their escape route and was forced to abandon their vehicle. The crew escaped to another engine (E-71). E-73 was destroyed by fire. Two E-73 crewmembers sustained minor injuries to the hand and face.
