Wildland firefighters performing suppression tasks on a specific portion of the Egberts Fire in Elko County, NV, reported acute symptoms that included eye and skin irritation and respiratory involvement. A total of 15 firefighters were assessed in the field and transported to a local area hospital, where they were treated and released the same day.
