Description:
A single engine airtanker went missing on July 25th, 2024 while working in the vicinity of the Falls Fire, on the Malheur National Forest. Following the conclusion of search efforts, the US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management issued a joint news release to report the death of the pilot, James Bailey Maxwell.
