Description:
During the Four-Corners Fire on April 5-6, 2000, on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource lands, there were a series of judgments, decisions, events and actions--as well as uncharacteristic weather and fire behavior--that, when combined, led to the entrapment of three individuals. An investigation team was assembled with the intent of finding factual evidence that would lead to an understanding of the circumstances that led to this entrapment. The intent of the investigation was to gather facts and analyze the incident in hopes of learning from the events and attempting to reduce the chance of reoccurrence.
