    Frank Starr, a logger/firefighter, died of a cerebral hemorrhage in the town of Cochran in rural Washington County, Oregon. Soon after his death, his home was destroyed when fire swept through this town. Starr's death was reported at the same time as the entrapment of a crew located in the same part of the Tillamook Forest area. No serious injuries or fatalities were reported in this crew's entrapment, which lasted an entire day.
