Description:
Leo Covell, a corporal in the US Army, was killed when the truck of firefighting supplies he was driving left the roadway and crashed. Covell and another individual were transporting supplies from Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, to a 35,000-acre fire on the Gila National Forest. The other occupant in the truck was also injured in the vehicle crash.
