    Larry Mazarokos, a Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) crewmember with Company 1235 at Priest River, Idaho, was killed when he was struck by a falling limb on the Gleason Mountain Fire, Kaniksu National Forest. This was the second fatality on this fire. Four days later, Martin Anderson would be killed by a falling snag on the Gleason Mountain Fire.
