Description:
While digging direct handline on the Grassy Fire on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, a firefighter became weak and dizzy. Forest Service EMTs recognized heat exhaustion. The firefighter was flown via agency helicopter to a nearby airport where an ambulance was waiting and took the patient to a hospital. The patient was treated and released later that evening.
