Description:
A crew assigned to the Green Mountain Rx, Shasta-Trinity National Forest, California, was in the process of shuttling crewmembers with a UTV. While on a steep slope, with 5 crewmembers on board, the UTV flipped over backwards, and rolled down the slope. Some brush caught the UTV and prevented the UTV and crewmembers from rolling much further down the slope. Several crewmembers had injuries described as “green” injuries, and several crewmembers were transported by ambulance to the hospital. As of this posting, a Facilitated Learning Analysis is planned to capture lessons associated with this rollover.
