Green Ridge Fire Short Haul 2021

    On the Green Ridge Fire on the Umatilla National Forest in Oregon, a firefighter was found on the fireline semiconscious. There was no clear mechanism of injury or obvious trauma, but the firefighter had 90 minutes of lost memory. Due to the location and potential mechanism of injury, the patient was transported via short haul helicopter. During this medevac, another firefighter fell and struck their head, doubling the number of injured. Both patients were transported, Hospital Liaisons were utilized, and both patients were released.
