Description:
Bruce Visser, a firefighter with an engine from the San Bernardino National Forest, was killed when he was struck by a motorcycle while standing on the road on a Klamath National Forest fire. Visser and another firefighter were standing on a forest road being used as a fireline when a motorcycle driven by a public citizen drove towards them. Both firefighters jumped out of the way, but Visser was struck by the vehicle at around midnight, September 1. Visser was taken to the clinic in HAppy Camp, but was declared dead at 0116.
